A Community Champion is a local trusted person who is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of people in Nottingham City.

Your role as a Community Champion will be to connect with people in your community to share health messages to raise awareness, signpost to local health services and provide a two-way dialogue on any concerns or problems to ensure that community stories and priorities can be communicated to relevant services and organisations in order to effect change.

Depending on your availability and interest, you can become involved in activities and campaigns that contribute to the overall aim of improving the health and wellbeing of people in Nottingham such as promote physical activity, healthy eating, stop smoking services, money advice services, mental health support, as well as supporting the local vaccination programme.

This is a flexible programme with lots of different opportunities where volunteers can choose which activities they might like to get involved in.

The programme invites applications from individual volunteers and from those that may volunteer already within organisations.
