Wollaton Hall is an Elizabethan mansion situated on a natural hill three miles west of Nottingham City Centre. It is set in five hundred acres of spectacular gardens and parkland. With formal and sensory gardens, historic Camellia House, Doric Temple, ornamental lake and boathouse, avenues of ancient trees and late Georgian lodges, herds of wild deer and 500 acres of parkland, Wollaton Park boasts many unique features.

Main activities Working in a team with other volunteers, you will assist with basic horticultural maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, edging, caring for borders etc in our Sensory garden.

It is a user-friendly space, encouraging visitors to touch, taste, admire and listen. The group are currently attempting to get the weeds under control and allow the remaining plants to thrive and are adding in plants to restore the sensory and colour themes.
