Woodthorpe Plant Shop Volunteer

Based at Woodthorpe Park Plant Shop and Tropical House as one of our plant shop volunteers you will work closely with the retail team to help care for and sell a wide variety of high quality plants, help tidy and prepare areas of our shop and tropical house as well as help customers pick the perfect flowers or shrubs for their garden. Whilst the shop has only been in operation since 2015, Nottingham City Council have managed a nursery at Woodthorpe Park since the 1920’s and as well as using these in our beautiful parks and open spaces around the city, they are available for the public for purchase. This role could include; • Tidying store and growing areas • Arranging stock in a visually appealing way • Repotting plants and flowers • Pruning and deadheading • Watering plants
